There is a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy at Cox Arboretum MetroPark.  The Arboretum boasts 189 acres of woodlands, wetlands, prairies, and gardens.  Some highlights include:

  • 3.5 miles of walking trails
  • Picnic area overlooking the water garden and Monet bridge
  • Native Ohio Butterfly House (open late June through Labor Day) and Pollinator Garden
  • Maimon Memorial Garden in the Edible Landscape
  • Clematis Arbor and Crabapple Allée
  • Stonewall Perennial Garden
  • Conifer Collection
  • Woodland Wildflower Garden
  • “Conservation Corner,” featuring natural wetlands and prairie

The buildings and gardens at Cox Arboretum MetroPark comply with or exceed the standards established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). There are many paved paths throughout the Arboretum.  Natural trails are not paved.  There is a wheelchair available on a first come, first served basis at the reception desk in the Zorniger Education Center.
