The Founders Society

The Founders Society, established in honor of founders James M. Cox, Jr., Jean Mahoney, and Jean Woodhull, is dedicated to maintaining the vision of creating a beautiful and enduring landscape arboretum that can serve as both a peaceful refuge and an outdoor classroom for the Dayton community. Founders Society contributions support the Foundation's long-term Master Plan, a one-hundred year commitment to protecting and building Cox Arboretum's collection of trees and woody plants and their surrounding ecosystems. The Master Plan ensures that the Arboretum will continue to provide its visitors with cherished memories and valuable learning opportunities for many generations to come. Founders Society members have a significant impact on elevating the quality of the Arboretum, and their support is essential to its growth. In appreciation of their support, Founders Society members receive significant membership benefits, including a personal home consultation with a member of the Arboretum's horticulture team.
