Programs for Adults

A variety of fun, informative programs are available throughout the year to provide present and future gardeners the knowledge and practical skills they need to grow beautiful, earth-friendly gardens. MetroParks staff and local experts share expertise on everything from plant selection, design, maintenance and natural cycles to help participants make the most of their garden investment.

Sustainability is an important part of what we do at the Arboretum. Whether you are interested in composting, current events or reducing waste programs exist to help participants adopt a greener lifestyle.

Café Sci: Increasing Science Literacy in the Community

Café Scientifique is an international citizen science forum intended to foster scientific, cultural and philosophical discussion among participants. This program is held on the first Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Cox Arboretum and is open to the public. Registration is requested. At each session, a guest speaker gives a brief presentation on a given topic followed by a group discussion over refreshments. Individuals of any background and experience level are welcome and encouraged to participate!
