Perennial wildflower native to North America. Grows 2-4' in full sun and well-drained soil. Member of the mint family, blooms early to mid-Summer. Attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds. Established to full size in two years. Drought tolerant.
Perennial wildflower native to North America. Grows 1-2' with spread of 1-1.5' spread. Plant in full sun. Grows in dry-medium moisture, well-drained soil. blooms early to mid-Summer. Deadhead spent flowers, to encourage new blooms. Attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds. Established to full size in two years. Drought tolerant.
Perennial, full sun, height 1-3', spread 1-2'. Low maintenance. Plant in full sun, moist but well-drained soil. Drought tolerant, attracts birds, bees, and butterflies.
Perennial, height 1-3', red, yellow bloom in May/June. Full sun to partial shade, dry medium soil. Pollinator friendly, attracts hummingbirds.
The soil for this activity was provided by Cox Arboretum MetroPark from the Barbara Cox Center for Sustainable Horticulture and the seeds came from Five Rivers MetroParks conservation department seed nursery at Germantown MetroPark.
